Exploration Trails
The Clay Center Exploration Trails project is a long-term initiative to create a safe, connected, and inviting trail system throughout Clay Center. Designed to improve health, promote walkability, and link neighborhoods with parks, schools, and community attractions, this project represents a significant step toward enhancing the quality of life for all residents. Initial development was made possible through a generous donation and a grant from the Sunflower Foundation.
Ongoing support is needed to expand and complete the trail network, including safe walking paths, wayfinding signage, and connections to key destinations such as the Murals Trail, Utility Park, and Huntress Park. With a vision for town-wide accessibility and recreation, the Exploration Trails aim to serve everyone—from schoolchildren and seniors to visitors and future residents—while encouraging a vibrant, active lifestyle in Clay Center.
